Dear pilots,

year 2009 is going by and it is time to publicate division awards for this year. Unlike last year, we do present the most dificult of these awards - Aviation Celebration Tour 2009. There are few major changes for this year.

The main change is fact, that instead of single flights, the new award is focused on replication of historical procedures, including air traffic control. For this purpose, there will be anounced 10 evemts, during those events the traffic at LKAA_FIR will be controled using historical procedures. Anyone who make 15 flights during those events and fulfill all others requirements, wil be awarded by Czech Aviation Celebration Tour 2009 Award.

We will start in almost present day, the year 2001, the year of stormimg development of Prague Ruzyne airport, and we will sink deeper and deeper, with jumps of approximately 10 years, to past, we will go through all phases of develpoment of LKPR airport, development of navaids and air traffic control. You will try for example using just primary radar, navigation using light beacons, targeting aircraft by goniostations or specific approach procedures like Precision Approach Radar, Standard Beam Approach, or controlled descends with ground visibility.

Dont be afraid of great amount of procedures, before each flyin, procedures and scenery will be published, including historical set of buildings and navaids. You will also get desription and explanation of all neccesary procedures in advance.

Instrukce

• There will be 10 historical events, covering appriximately 80 years history of czech air traffic control.
• You have to make at least 15 flights during those events.
• You can fly any number of flights each evening, but maximal number of two (one arrival and one departure) will be recorded for your award ecah evening.
• All flights have to be flown with aircraft that was serialy produced and commonly used in these days.
• All flights have to start or end on LKPR airport, except the times before LKPR exist, where LKKB, as older Pragues airport will be used.
• All flights has to have FP filled with RMK/CZ AVIATION CELEBRATION 2009 in "other information" field - this is used for ATCs to be sure what pilots will be served using historical procedures.
• Aircraft that will not have this line included will be provided normal control, but in this flight can not be counted into 15 historical flights for the award.
